Objectives:
Enhancing quantitative and qualitative research indicators to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the research domain
Purposeful orientation of research activities and development of research collaborations
Improving the quality of the University’s publications and scientific outputs
Enhancing the quality of research centers and establishing and developing research institutes
Quantitative and qualitative development of the health technology sector, particularly modern technologies and commercialization of research products
Development of applied, clinical, and basic research in line with national research priorities
Expansion of national and international research collaborations
Vision
Through continuous efforts, commitment, and collaboration of researchers, and in alignment with the University’s overarching vision—derived from the Twenty-Year Vision of the Islamic Republic of Iran—this Vice-Chancellorship aims to advance in a manner that enables the University to be recognized as a leading, reference-based, and innovative institution in research related to mental health, social health, and rehabilitation. Furthermore, it seeks to be a pioneer in the production and dissemination of knowledge and modern technologies in health sciences and rehabilitation at national and regional levels.
The Vice-Chancellorship for Research and Technology of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences is entrusted with the following research missions:
Conducting basic, applied, and developmental research related to various fields of rehabilitation and mental and social health
Training and developing human resources in the research sector and enhancing their competencies
Enhancing the University’s research standing at national and international levels
Participating in the national knowledge-based movement and achieving the comprehensive research roadmap
With organizational units including the Directorate of Research Development and Evaluation, the Directorate of Medical Information and Communications, the Directorate of Health Technology Development, the Student Research Committee, publications, and a data-rich library of rehabilitation and health resources across various fields, this Vice-Chancellorship places the design of a comprehensive research roadmap and prioritization of the country’s real needs in research and knowledge production at the core of its mission.
